Senior descendants of Counts Sheremetev presented this landle to the 97th Liflandsky Regiment. The 97th Liflandsky Infantry Regiment was established in 1700 and named after General-Field-Marshal Count Boris P.Sheremetev, one of Peter the Great’s closest associates (one of the most ancient regiments of Russian Infantry).
