At the inner side of the cover there is an inscription: "To their Imperial Highnesses Great Princess Xenia Alexandrovna and Great Prince Alexander Mikhailovich from Moscow. 21st of June 1894" This casket was presented by Moscow citizens in the occasion of wedding on the 25th of July 1894 of Great Princess Xenia Alexandrovna (1875-1960), daughter of Emperor Alexander III, sister of Emperor Nicholas II and Great Prince Alexander Mikhailovich.

Alexander Mikhailovich (1866-1933), adjutant general — Admiral, the 4th son of Great Prince Mikhail Nikolaevich grand-son of Emperor Nicholas I, cousin of Emperor Alexander III, uncle of Emperor Nicholas II. President of the Council of the seagoing trade (1900), vice-admiral, chief commander of the seagoing trade and ports (1902-1905), awarded the order of Saint Andrew the First Called Xenia Alexandrovna (1875-1960), the elder daughter of Emperor Alexander III, sister of Emperor Nicholas II. Their daughter Irina Alexandrovna (1895-1970) was married (1914) to Prince Felix Yusupov, (organizer and participant of Grigory Rasputin murder).
